How Lewis Richards of the LEF uses social media

Lewis Richards of the LEF is one of the most “tech Savvy” people you could wish to meet. We caught up on how he uses social media which is for him a balance between staying connected with people and researching the market.

After Crossfit, Lewis spends an hour in the morning on social, then checks it again at lunchtime and follows up in the evening between 8 and 10 with a 2 screen expereince. He is very well set up on all systems and he explains how he uses the internet as a work flow engine (using IFTTT) and his “digital brain”.

His main platform is Twitter and his main technology is his phone, which he says is “never out of his hands”. He is active on Facebook from friends and also Instagram and Pinterest for the more visual side of social. He follows 35 different topics areas.

As an early Google Glass user he sees the next must have device not as Glass but for what he describes as  “The battle for the wrist”.

His advice to anyone just getting started on social is to be yourself as you are a digital representation of your physical self and therefore you need to bring your own personality into what you do.
